Southwestern Photo Workshop
Free hour of online post-workshop image editing and/or image organization training with this workshop!
Fall in the Southwest is ideal; hot days and cool, clear nights are the norm. We will be shooting sunrise to sunset and everything in between; however, this workshop is not a photography boot camp. Our days will find us following a leisurely pace as we search out the best locations in the Southwest.
September 23 – September 30, 2012
Tucson (Saguaro National Park East & West)
9/23 – 9/25
Tucson boasts Saguaro National Park East & West, both excellent sunrise/sunset locations with great Sonoran desert landscape vistas and the Saguaro – the supreme symbol of the American Southwest. We will also stop by Old Tucson, formerly a Columbia Pictures Western Movie studio.

Sedona
9/25 – 9/28
Sedona, referred to as "Red Rock Country," is located in Arizona's high desert under the towering southwestern rim of the vast Colorado Plateau. Situated at the mouth of spectacular Oak Creek Canyon and surrounded by fascinating red-rock monoliths, this is a photographer's paradise.
Monument Valley
9/28 – 9/30
Monument Valley, our final stop, is the Navajo Nation Tribal Park straddling the border of Northeastern Arizona and Southeastern Utah of the Colorado Plateau, providing some of the most striking and recognizable landscapes of sandstone buttes, mesas, and spires in the entire American West. At the end of our workshop, we offer an optional trip to Hunt's Mesa which sits on the southern border of Monument Valley allowing wonderful sunset and sunrise images shot north across the valley.
Visiting Hunt's mesa involves an overnight in a tent on top of the mesa. Everything you need (transportation, tent, sleeping bag, food, etc.) is all included in the price which ranges from $175.00 to $300.00 per person depending upon how many sign up for this option.
