The tour fee of $800.00 per person covers sunrise to sunset guidance to all the scenic locations listed above in addition to on–location instruction in all facets of camera operation, photographic composition and any help/advice you may want leading up to the workshop.

I do not lock us into a specific itinerary. I see what the weather and road conditions are and make decisions right on the spot. My goal is to get you to the very best scenic locations in the best possible light, so I will make decisions about the next day's locations the previous night. With

only 4 or 5 people in the workshop, this is quite easy.

Here is a general idea of what we will be doing:

Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Herbert Lake, and Vermilion Lakes are prime sunrise locations. Because the sun does not break into the Valley of the Ten Peaks until about 10 AM, we first do Lake Louise

and then head directly to Moraine Lake and get two sunrises in one morning.

Vermilion Lakes is also a prime sunset location.

Yoho National Park with Natural Bridge, Emerald Lake, and Takkakaw Falls are all mid-to-late afternoon locations.

Paradise Creek and Ice Creek (on the Moraine Lake access road) can be shot well almost anytime; a misty rain would be perfect.

The Bow Valley Parkway, Johnson Canyon, and Mt Norquay can be shot almost anytime.

Morant's Curve on the Bow Valley Parkway is great if you are a train buff.

Mount Crowfoot and BowSummit, on the Icefields Parkway, are best early and late but can be shot mid-day; Peyto Lake, one of the most scenic lakes in the world, is best in the PM.

Lower Consolation Lakes and Larch Valley involve about three to four hour roundtrip hikes and are only done should the group wish that type of activity.

The Town of Banff is just great for architectural photography and just walking around for a city break, shopping, and great restaurants.

So, where we find ourselves really depends upon the time of day and the current weather.

If you happen to have specific places you want to shoot, I will do my best to get you there.

Transportation, lodging, meals, and all associated fees will be the responsibility of the individual workshop participants. There are many motels, hotels, and lodges in the Banff/Lake Louise area. Once there, we will carpool as much as we can to the different locations.

We will meet as a group to review the final itinerary in the main lobby of Moraine Lake Lodge at 4:00pm on Monday June 14, and the tour will end after our sunrise at Vermilion Lakes on Saturday June 19..
