Charleston Historic District Photo Composition Safari
Limited to 10 people $ 250.00 per person
This two-day sunrise-to-sunset and into the night Safari will focus solely on having fun, meeting new people, and capturing the best possible image out in the field, in the house, at the game, on vacation, or wherever you find yourself.
We will concentrate on Architectural, Street, narrow-view Close-Up, and Night photography as we wonder through the streets of historic Charleston. We will cover both what to shoot and how to shoot what to shoot.
Remember the difference between an artist at his easel and a photographer before his subject. An artist begins
with a blank canvas and has to decide what to add to that canvas to end up with the image he wants to create. On the other hand, a photographer begins with a full 'canvas,' everything
before him, and he has to decide what to eliminate in order to create his image. Much of composition instruction deals with what to include and what to eliminate. Most 'errors' in composition
occur on the side of inclusion where the photographer includes far too much. Along with composition instruction/feedback/critique, we will also include whatever mechanical
camera function training that needs to be addressed.
